Burlington Capital is pleased to make another affordable housing development possible through a partnership with a nonprofit housing entity which has embraced housing neighbors with disabilities as part of its mission. Burlington Capital’s, George Achola and Andria Bell took part in the ribbon cutting for the Shadow Lake Apartments in Papillion. The apartments include 48 units that will provide safe, secure, and affordable homes for adults with developmental disabilities.
According to Achola, “Families in our community, that have family members with disabilities, will now have more affordable options thanks to Sheltering Tree, this project is a great example of how affordable housing investments can impact communities and their residents. Burlington was the lead partner in helping Sheltering Tree, Inc. secure tax credits for the development. Burlington would like to thank Sheltering Tree for its trust allowing us to be a part of the project which could not have been possible without the assistance of Midwest Housing Equity Group, the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, Frontier Bank Nebraska and several of our community philanthropy partners.”
