Nebraska joins 30 other states in declaring November 19 Women’s Entrepreneurship Day

Women's Entrepreneurship Day

In 1988, women were granted the right to own their own business without a man. Yesterday, Nebraska joined 30 other states in declaring November 19th Women’s Entrepreneurship Day.  National Women’s Entrepreneurship Day is celebrated on November 19th each year. It is part of a broader initiative called Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO), founded by Wendy Diamond in 2014. The purpose of this day is to honor, celebrate, and support female entrepreneurs and business owners worldwide, highlighting the important contributions they make to the global economy.

Pamela Finn, Senior Business Consultant, played a key role in bringing Women’s Entrepreneurship Day to Nebraska. Pamela recently was appointed as an ambassador for women entrepreneurs by the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO).

We are proud that Erica Wassinger and Gabrielle Keaton, members of Proven Ventures, A Burlington Capital Fund, were able to be in attendance along with Founders, Marissa Whalen & Kelly Mann.

A big shoutout to all who made this day possible!

Governor Jim Pillen, Laura Lasher, Angie Fiedler, Karen (Stephan) Borchert, Alyssa Cave, Alexi Wellman, Charlie Cuddy, Kristen Bernhard, & Margaux Towne
