We are proud to celebrate George Achola, for his insightful contribution at the 2024 ICAN Omaha 7x7x7 event! George was one of seven remarkable local speakers who shared their unique perspectives, each given just seven minutes to spotlight their topic. His session, “Profiting at the Cost of Children’s Opportunities: Pay-to-Play’s Impact on Youth Sports,” highlighted the challenges and crucial conversations surrounding access to youth sports and how we can collectively work toward equitable solutions.
By bringing attention to this issue, George hopes to make the larger community aware of the ongoing conversation about creating more equitable access to youth sports opportunities. His presentation aligns with his commitment to community service and empowerment, as evidenced by his involvement in various community organizations.
